Thanks to Em(alyse) for helping me get a Joost Beta Invite! The download and install was painless. I haven’t had too much time to tinker around with it, but I’ll report back soon on my initial thoughts. Thanks again Em!
p.s.: I don’t bother Em for Joost invites—she’s out of them now. When more are made available to me, I’ll be sure to pass them out, however. Em keeps an interesting blog called “STUFFEM-Up the hill backwards.”

I’m looking for an invite into the closed beta that Joost is conducting. If you have an invite to share or know someone who has an invite to share, I’d love to get an invite so I can preview and review the service!
New to Joost? Joost is the on demand video service leveraging peer-to-peer technology being brought to us from the creators of Kazaa and Skype. Beyond just video, Joost also brings social features into the mix including search. Last week Viacom announced that it will be a content partner, providing programming from various divisions including MTV Networks, BET Networks, and Paramount Pictures.
There are a few videos circulating out there on YouTube, and, Joost posted a new web site over the weekend.
