Checkout Keepon’s smooth moves

Wired Science closed out tonight’s episode (11/27) with a catchy video starring Keepon, a happy little dancing robot. The video from YouTube is embedded below (Keepon Dancing to Spoon’s “Don’t You Evah”).

The still before the video started reads:

Keepon, the dancing yellow robot, was designed and built by his video co-star, roboticist and psychologist Hideki Kozima, for his clinical research with autistic children. Mark Michalowski is the grad student who programs Keepon’s smooth moves.

Trilogy time: The Bourne Ultimatum trailer

Ok, it’s a little off-topic, but I’m a fan of the Bourne movies. So…

FirstShowing.net and Yahoo! UK (Windows Media Only) posted the trailer for The Bourne Ultimatum today. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 3rd. The trailer has a lot of footage from The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy—but the new footage looks good.

There are several YouTube videos out there showing the filming of the movie, too.

I need a Joost Beta invite!

I’m looking for an invite into the closed beta that Joost is conducting. If you have an invite to share or know someone who has an invite to share, I’d love to get an invite so I can preview and review the service!

New to Joost? Joost is the on demand video service leveraging peer-to-peer technology being brought to us from the creators of Kazaa and Skype. Beyond just video, Joost also brings social features into the mix including search. Last week Viacom announced that it will be a content partner, providing programming from various divisions including MTV Networks, BET Networks, and Paramount Pictures.

There are a few videos circulating out there on YouTube, and, Joost posted a new web site over the weekend.
